King Tree Jarrah

This majestic jarrah tree is one of the tallest in the Wellington National Park. With a timber boardwalk and raised viewing platform, this site offers you a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with King Jarrah himself!  Estimated to be between 300 and 500 years old, the King Jarrah Tree stands approximately 36 metres tall and has survived bush fires, storms, lighting and insect attack.

The area around the King Jarrah Tree is truly beautiful.  The mature stands of yarri, jarrah and marri support an abundance of small birds and mammals. In the early morning you need only sit for a short while to see many of the local species of bird such as the splendid fairy wren, scarlet robin, grey fantail, inland thornbill and golden whistler.

The boardwalk and viewing platform allow visitors to view the tree in safety.   For your safety and to protect the tree, visitors are requested to stay on the boardwalk at all times.

For further information about the Wellington National Park, please visit the Parks and Wildlife website.
